York Chess Day School 2026

For Summer 2026, join York's own teenage chess star, Aaron Rich CM, for his second York Chess Summer schools on Friday 24th July, Friday 21st August and Monday 24th August. Sesssions can be booked collectively or individually via eventbrite

Each day will comprise dedicated coaching in the morning and a chess competition with prizes in the afternoon. They are open to children from 8-15 years old and are for those who want to improve their chess ability rather than just play socially. They are targeted primarily at those with a playing strength up to 1500 rating.

Expect to learn more about tactics, positioning and strategy from Candidate Master and England and Yorkshire player, Aaron, including looking at expert games, puzzles and learning exercises. 10-4pm. £35 per pupil (DM Ben for a private discussion on 07469159134 if this cost will exclude you.)
