Junior Chess
Our Junior chess club runs a drop in session suitable for all levels of chess every Wednesday from 5:30pm to 7pm at Guppy's Enterprise Club
The first session is free and then it's £4 cash entry.
Many of our junior go on to represent Yorkshire and get the opportunity to take part in junior congresses
We have a junior team in the York and District midweek league to allow our players to make the step up to adult competitive chess
Meet the coach
Aaron Rich
Aaron is a multiple Yorkshire Champion and England chess player who is a product of York Chess Club's Junior Programme.
Starting in Fishergate Primary school over ten years ago he has taken every opportunity to develop his game and now runs our junior coaching on a Wednesday night.
