Rowntree Park Chess report

Aug 2, 2022
1 min read

Nearly two dozen junior players from 7-15 years old gathered in Rowntree’s Park for a summer session of our Junior Chess Club, which takes place on Wednesdays during term times from 5.30-7pm at Guppy’s enterprise club.

The session which was open to all juniors on a drop in basis offered players an opportunity for some fun games, as well as coaching from a number of York’s experienced chess coaches.

A follow up session will be held in the Friends Garden in Rowntree’s park from 3-5pm on Wednesday 17th August. Do drop by.
